The admiration I have for anyone that has fought this battle is huge! It not only effects the person going through it, but their friends and family are fighting along side them.
When I was pregnant with Emersyn, someone I was close to in college was diagnosed with cancer. There were days when I would be tired, or my sciatica would act up, or maybe a little nauseous, but then I would see I new blog post by my friend and just lay in bed and cry reading it. She's a beautiful writer, and her journey made me realize that my aches and pains were nothing and they were for bringing a baby into the world. It put everything in perspective.
I want to thank her and everyone that continues to be a voice! You are strong and beautiful!
When speaking with another friend whose mom had just started her treatment, we spoke about when she was going to shave her head and doing some beauty portraits of her. I was ecstatic to be a part of her journey and hopefully brighten her day. I felt a lot of emotion that day, but did not want to show anything but a big smiling face to this gorgeous woman!
